一场关于时间的实验

作品赏析

【Time】 is an important element that has been discussed within studioX4 in recent years. We try to let people [see or touch to feel the passage of time] in various corners, and what we present in this case is not the result, but an experimental process.

Before discussing the element of time, we must first accept that time is fragmentary and difficult to use in our creation, and it is not a form that can be categorized as a style.

Fortunately, the site itself is located on the first floor of a traditional-Tawan-style apartment building in the downtown area of Taipei City, and the surrounding environment provides enough history as nutrients, as well as sufficient sunlight to allow the use of materials to be more easily observed.

【时间】是近几年乘四建筑师事务所一直讨论的一个重要元素，我们尝试在各个角落让人「看见或是触摸时间的流逝」，着重的不是结果，而是实验的过程。

在讨论时间这个要素之前，我们必须先接受时间是片段的，很难用于创作之中，它不是一个形体可以被归类成为风格，也因此这是我们所需要面对的第一个课题。

很幸运的，基地本身位于台北市热闹市区的一栋步登公寓的一楼，四周的旧街廓提供了足够的历史作为养分，以及足够的采光让材质的运用可以更容易被观察，我们将「时间」呈现在日常生活的各个角落：

【The relationship between rain-chain and the dripping water】

The feeling of time can be made through the change of material. We recall the glass rod used to guide the liquid in the chemistry experiment in the school time, and replaced the traditional rain-chain with an iron bar; rust-proof treatment is used in the surrounding steel, but the iron bar rain-chain is not rust-proof processed, so that it reacts with the rain over time.
【落水链与雨】
我们可以透过材料特性的变化来感受时间，化学实验中用来引导液体的玻璃棒给了我们很大的启发，因此以钢筋取代传统落水链，并在周围的钢材中使用了防锈处理，唯独钢筋落水鍊不做防锈加工，使其随时间与雨水反应。

【A bed with 17 trees】

The bed frame is designed with Taiwan's native species of cedar, which is taken from the Hsinchu Mountain area, and has been left to dry, preserving the age and cracks of the original trees.

床架采用了台湾原生种柳杉，取材自新竹山区，历经静置、干燥，保留了原始树木的年轮及裂痕。

【Pillars and Beams】

The original appearance was slowly excavated using hand tools, not new nor old.

The interesting thing is that the glove inside the beam from 35 years ago was chiseled out.

使用手工具慢慢凿出其原本样貌，不是新，也不是旧。
其中有趣的是挖凿梁的过程中，也意外的凿出了35年前模板内的手套。

【Rusting and original appearance】

Carbonized iron will eventually become rusted iron.

【灯具的锈蚀与原貌双胞胎】
碳化的铁终将成为锈蚀的铁。

The naked woman descending a staircase by Marcel Duchamp is a great inspiration, time is fragmentary, we can only perceive time by seeing [the process of movement].

The glass staircase allows us to perceive the process of walking and reinforces the emotion of walking.

杜象的下楼的裸女给予很大的启发，时间是片段的，我们唯有看到【动作的过程】才能感知到时间。
玻璃楼梯可以察觉到行走的过程，以及强化行走时的情绪。

【The process of movement】

Through physical movement, time can be seen.

【动的过程】
透过物理上的运动，时间得以被看见。

【The Moon】

The moon does not emit light, it reflects.

The middle is the original flooring, which retains the dirt and time during construction, and is used to contrast the surroundings.

月球不发光，它反射。
中间为原始地坪，保留了施工中的脏污及时间，用以对照周围。

金腾奖

2023金腾奖继续展现其对于设计行业的深厚影响力。自4月份在意大利米兰召开发布会并开启征稿后，设计师们纷纷响应。虽受宏观经济影响，可交付参赛的设计项目数量有所放缓，但令人欣喜的是，收到的作品在品质上有了明显提升，为赛事的激烈竞争增加了不少看点。

本届大赛累计收到了全球设计师提交的3188套作品，这些作品覆盖了私宅、酒店、地产、餐饮、办公、公共、商业、公益、产品等设计类别。为了确保比赛的公正性和专业性，金腾奖组织委员会对所有提交的作品进行了严格的筛选和审核。

在淘汰了部分资料不完整、效果图或涉及版权争议的作品后，最终确定了2329套有效参赛作品。经过评审团的精心筛选，最终选出了100套“2023第七届金腾奖年度设计大奖”杰出作品，这些获奖作品将在11月的颁奖典礼上进行颁发，并在当天公布10大“年度金奖”和“年度人气设计师”。
